In a gross oversight of justice rivaling that of the Casey Anthony trial verdict it seems that a man from Louisville, KY involved in a fatal DUI was sentenced to just four days in jail… and a revoked license (of course).
It turns out that when Brian Pollard pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, Scott County District Judge Rebecca Phelps and the prosecution were unaware of the pesky little fact that Pollard’s passenger, Peggy Williamson of London had passed away just hours after the crash. You know, the devil’s in the details.
The oblivious Scott County Attorney Glenn Williams did however state that officials were “not precluded from pursuing other charges.” So hopefully more charges are pending.
But still, four days for a DUI crash? Seems a bit lenient, right?
